The application range of wire rope electric hoist is very wide, from construction sites to small factory workshops, and even home workshops, which need to use it to lift heavy objects weighing tens, hundreds, or even tons. Due to the different materials lifted in each work scenario, in order to prevent overloading caused by misjudging the weight of heavy objects by operators, manufacturers have installed overload protection devices and limit devices for electric hoists during production.
The time for the overload protection device and limit device to sound an alarm has strict standards. When the weight of the heavy object exceeds 90% of the rated lifting capacity of the electric hoist, the limit device of the electric hoist will emit a beeping alarm sound, indicating to the operator that the current heavy object has been overloaded. However, this reminder is only temporary. Once the weight of the heavy object reaches 95% of the rated lifting capacity, the overload protection device of the electric hoist will continuously sound an alarm. After reaching 100%, it will automatically stop running.
The limiting device is relatively simple, it is installed on the lower hook of the wire rope electric hoist, and once it touches the bottom of the electric hoist, it will also sound an alarm.
