2. Put down the old steel wire rope on the drum, then use a wrench to loosen the pressure plate on one end of the old steel wire rope, and place the rope on the ground (be careful to let ground personnel hide in a safe area).

3. Tie the ends of the new and old steel wire ropes with wire with a diameter of 1-2 millimeters (the tying length is twice the diameter of the steel wire rope). Pair the two ends of the rope together and use a thin wire with a diameter of about 1 millimeter to wrap them three times between the two ends. Then use a thin wire to smoothly wrap the joint to avoid obstruction when passing through the pulley.

4. Start the lifting mechanism, use an old rope to tie a new rope, and roll the old rope onto the drum. When the joint between the old and new ropes reaches the drum, stop the vehicle, release the joint, and temporarily tie the new rope to a suitable place on the trolley. Then drive and place all the old ropes on the ground (while rolling them up for transportation).

5. Use another lifting rope to lift the other end of the new steel wire rope to the drum. Then, fix both ends of the new steel wire rope onto the drum with pressure plates. Start the lifting mechanism again to lift the hook, wrap the new steel wire rope, and the replacement work will be completed. When winding a new steel wire rope, someone on the trolley should observe the winding situation and pay special attention to safety.
