Steel wire rope is one of the key components of a hand cranked winch. It can be said that without steel wire rope, it is impossible to smoothly complete the traction work of heavy objects. It is not only a device that connects the heavy object and the winch traction mechanism, but also can continuously change the movement range of the heavy object under human control.

Hand cranked winch

Let's take a hand cranked winch as an example to explain the process of retracting and releasing a steel wire rope. Firstly, when a heavy object in the distance needs to be moved to the winch, we need to manually pull the steel wire rope out of the winch drum and connect the end hook to the heavy object. This is the process of releasing the steel wire rope, and the process of retracting refers to the movement of the heavy object. With the heavy object as the load, the steel wire rope will not twist or rotate and can be freely rolled into the drum.

If there is no load, it is necessary to give the steel wire rope a sense of weight. You can use the method of pulling the steel wire rope with your hand to let it roll into the drum in an orderly manner. It cannot be arranged in a scattered manner, otherwise it will cause the drum to get stuck and burn out the motor.

Moreover, once the wire rope retraction method of the hand cranked winch is incorrect and causes the winch to malfunction, it is often impossible to obtain the original manufacturer's after-sales guarantee.
