During the use of a small crane, the operation of the steel wire rope should be smooth and fluent. If there is a sharp noise, attention should be paid. The noise of a small crane is mostly caused by problems with the transmission device, that is, the steel wire rope or pulley.

The steel wire rope on the small crane plays a traction role, with the initial end connected to the motor and then hanging downwards through the pulley at the top of the arm, and the end connected to a heavy object. The steel wire rope and pulley are also the only transmission devices in the small crane, and the generation of noise is most likely due to damage to the steel wire rope. For example, during use, some steel wires may break and fork, and the surface of the steel wire rope is not smooth, causing excessive friction when the steel wire rope breaks and interacts with the pulley, resulting in harsh noise.

Outdoor crane

When encountering a situation where the steel wire rope is damaged, it must be dealt with in a timely manner. Otherwise, not only will the damage to the steel wire rope become greater, but the wear of the pulley track will also intensify, seriously affecting the safety of the transportation operation.

Another possible cause of noise is damage to the gears, which can lead to the inability of the teeth to bite properly. Irregular collisions between teeth can directly disrupt the sound and accelerate motor damage.

So if there is any abnormal sound when using a small crane, it is important to pay attention and promptly detect and solve the problem in order to ensure the safe use of the crane.
