Chain rigging is a kind of rigging connected by metal chain rings. According to its form, there are mainly two kinds of welding and assembly. According to its structure, it is single and multiple, and it is made of high-quality alloy steel. Its long service life, easy to bend, suitable for large-scale, frequent use of the occasion. Flexible multiple limbs, a variety of combinations can improve work efficiency, reduce costs and so on.


Precautions for the use of chain rigging:

1. Develop good lifting habits, and plan how to hang, lift and unload before lifting work.

2. Preparation: Determine the weight and center of gravity of the object to be lifted, read the attached document carefully, and mark the lifting point and weight data. Only after determining the center of gravity can the hook be hung in the proper position!

3. The crane operator shall be informed of the weight of the object to be lifted.

4. The crane hook should be vertically suspended above the center of gravity of the suspended object.

5. Lifting lifting objects should not only avoid damage to lifting objects, but also prevent damage to the rigging itself.


To avoid spinning or falling, the following conditions should be observed:

A) single-leg rigging, the lifting point should be vertically located above the center of gravity of the lifting object.

B) If it is a double leg rigging, the lifting point should be located on both sides of the lifting object, and the lifting point is above the center of gravity.

C) If it is a three-leg and four-leg rigging, the hanging point should be evenly located at the level of the center of gravity of the lifting object, and above the center of gravity of the lifted object.

It must be noted that the lifting Angle β (located between the vertical line and the lifting leg) : the larger the lifting Angle, the smaller the lifting capacity. Lifting angles over 60 degrees are never allowed!

If a three - or four-leg chain rigging is used for lifting objects that are not evenly distributed, then the load rating for each leg should be calculated using the two leg lifting objects with the largest lifting Angle. When the Angle of the two legs is different, the rated load of each leg should be calculated using only one chain to lift the entire lifting object.
